Cheryl emerges from the woods in her hunting cape and her bow and arrow, demanding that Penny untie her. Penny and the Ghoulies give her up but they tell Jughead that they will go to war with the Serpents if they don’t agree to sell drugs with them on the southside. Back at the Whyte Wyrm, Cheryl is with Toni and the Serpents when deciding what to do about the Ghoulies. They put it to vote and decide that they’ll go to war with the Ghoulies.

Now, Veronica and Archie are trapped in Betty’s war with them, and while Veronica’s ready to follow her to the ends of the Earth, she wants to know the entire truth. So, they meet up with Betty at the Blue and Gold to discuss Jughead’s death. She didn’t tell them because she’s terrified that she may have killed Jughead. They have to figure out what happened after Betty’s conversation with Donna and before she woke up next to Jughead’s body.

Betty and Archie joined Veronica in the student lounge as she told Kevin of an old friend who was visiting Riverdale, Nick St. Clair. Veronica and Nick were the “will they or won’t they?” of their jet set. They’d used to hop from club to club, where they would go on these madcap adventures, and stay up all night.
FP and Betty’s faces are heart breaking, as Jughead’s life is hanging in the balance. In the hot tub later that night, Veronica brings up the Archie and Betty kiss once again. After a back-and-forth, will-they-won’t-they relationship, Betty and Jughead finally PinaLove hooked up again. Jughead shows up at the Jubilee for Betty’s speech and is the first to clap when she is done. The four friends meet at Pop’s Diner for milkshakes before separating. Betty and Jughead got to FP’s trailer, where Jughead is now living.
While there, she’ll be staying with Katy in Washington Heights. Veronica looks to put all this behind them so they can start anew. Unfortunately, Veronica calls Archie later to tell him that she’ll be staying a few more days. Archie convenes with Veronica at his place after she reveals her dad collapsed.
With Kevin being the person responsible for finding Moose and Midge, Archie wondered what he was doing in the woods to begin with. Kevin claimed that he was night jogging, but Betty appeared unconvinced. Now that another shooting has taken place, Archie hoped that they all could finally agree that there was a killer in Riverdale. However, with so much uncertainty surrounding recent events, Betty wasn’t convinced that the latest shooting was in any way tied to Ms. Grundy’ murder.
Cheryl then told them that she wanted Nick to be held accountable for his actions, so she would be pressing charges. As Betty and Veronica waited in the hospital lobby, Veronica told Betty a list of things that she was good at, such as makeovers, party planning, dance-offs, dropping vintage bon bots as if they were bonbons. However, there was also a list of things which she wasn’t good at, which included grief, bedside vigils, and comforting boyfriends. She had a look of discomfort and shame, explaining that she didn’t know what to do in situations like Archie’s.

She was introduced as Riverdale’s queen bee who is not interested with making friends with the newly transferred Veronica Lodge. Pembrooke Academy is the local private school in Pembrooke. Cheryl has a twin brother, Jason, an arrogant rival of Archie.
While Betty didn’t expect Veronica to believe her, she insisted that she didn’t mean anything she said during Nick’s party. Veronica agreed, which is why she asked to hear the insane excuse. Betty told Veronica the true intentions of what she said, which was to protect her from the Black Hood’s line of fire. Betty would never forgive herself for all the things she did, even feeling guilty about giving up Nick.
And Archie can’t escape him as long as he and Veronica are together. He begins to cry as he recalls when he first met Veronica. She was everything he could’ve ever wanted, and he reminds her just how much he loves her. On the other end of the phone, Veronica starts to cry as well, telling him that if he loved her, he would come home, but he can’t, as they both know Hiram will never stop. The weekend is over and court resumes, where Archie pleads guilty, to spare is friends and family a mistrial. The court accepts Archie’s guilty plea and he is taken directly from the courthouse to the Leopold and Loeb Juvenile Detention Center, where he will serve out his sentence beginning immediately.
Going back to the issue of Archie and Veronica getting physical a lot, this really does strike a chord with a lot of people. After Archie’s father got shot definitely comes to mind here. If there’s one thing every healthy relationship needs is unconditional support. No matter how perfect and strong we all wish to look in the eyes of the person we love, life is complicated, and things can get ugly whether we like it or not. Usually, these things tens to be completely out of our control, and the teens ofRiverdaleknow that better than anyone else.
